SHEFFIELD, England — October 3, 2026 — MTGP Sheffield delivered a dramatic changing of the guard at the Canon Medical Arena, where England’s George Mouzakitis knocked out reigning champion Jack Kennedy to capture the ISKA World Welterweight Muay Thai Championship at 67kg. Untitled 2.rtf

Kennedy entered the contest as the defending ISKA World Champion and appeared to be building a lead on the scorecards during the opening stages of the championship fight. Mouzakitis, however, dramatically changed the momentum in the third round, dropping the champion and putting the title fight firmly in the balance. Untitled 2.rtf

Kennedy battled on, but Mouzakitis continued to apply the pressure. In the fourth round, the challenger sent Kennedy down for a second time before delivering the decisive blow — a brutal knee to the body that left the defending champion unable to beat the count. Untitled 2.rtf

The knockout brought the contest to an emphatic conclusion and crowned George Mouzakitis as the new ISKA World Welterweight Muay Thai Champion.

The images from Sheffield captured both sides of the championship battle: the intensity of the exchanges inside the ring and Mouzakitis standing afterward with the prestigious ISKA World Championship belt around his waist.

Two knockdowns. One devastating finish. A new World Champion — George Mouzakitis takes the ISKA crown in Sheffield.
