Officials Gain International Experience During Four-Day Certification and Tournament Event

ISKA successfully conducted an International Referee Certification Seminar in Mauritius from May 21st to 24th, bringing together officials and participants for an important educational and practical development event in the Indian Ocean region.

The seminar was co-led by experienced international officials alongside Raffaele Girardi, with special thanks extended to Cory Schafer and Jean-Noël Mamet for their support and collaboration throughout the program.

Participants in the seminar were given the opportunity to gain real-world officiating experience during the ISKA National Interclub Tournament in Mauritius, where they worked over two full days of competition. The event combined classroom instruction with live tournament application, helping referees and judges further develop their skills under official ISKA standards.

Jean-Noël Mamet, Director of ISKA Mauritius and the Indian Ocean, was praised for his hospitality and leadership in organizing the successful seminar and tournament activities. Organizers expressed gratitude for the warm welcome received in Mauritius and wished continued success for the future development of ISKA competition and officiating throughout the region.

The seminar represents another step forward in ISKA’s continued commitment to expanding high-level referee education and maintaining international officiating standards across global combat sports competition.
