ISKA Cambodia Championship Delivers High-Level Action in Battambang
ISKA Championship Kun Khmer returned to Cambodia on April 25th, 2026, with a dynamic open-air event held in Ruessei, Battambang. Drawing a crowd of over 6,000 spectators and broadcast live on Apsara TV, the event highlighted the intensity, tradition, and growing popularity of Kun Khmer on both a regional and international level.
The card featured multiple ISKA title bouts, showcasing some of the top fighters in Southeast Asia and reinforcing Cambodia’s reputation as a leading force in the sport.
In the bantamweight division, Cambodia’s Koeum Sovankhim successfully defended his ISKA Southeast Asia Bantamweight title with a composed and technical performance. Facing Kongphoxaiy of Laos, Sovankhim controlled the pace of the fight, demonstrated strong ring awareness, and secured a unanimous decision victory to retain his championship.
Another major highlight came in the lightweight division, where Penkak Reachsey delivered an impressive finish to defend his ISKA Southeast Asia Lightweight Kun Khmer title. Competing against fellow Cambodian Puth Sambo, Reachsey ended the bout with a knockout in the second round, further establishing his dominance in the division.
The event in Battambang reflects the continued growth of ISKA-sanctioned Kun Khmer events, combining strong attendance, live television coverage, and high-level competition.
