Heavyweight Kickboxing Legend Branko Cikatic ‘The Croatian Tiger’ passed away March 23, 2020 after a long illness aged 65. Branko was the first K-1 WGP Heavyweight Champion winning the inaugural K-1 World Grand Prix in 1993. Some considered Branko passed his prime in 1993 but he dominated the K-1 WGP winning all three fights by knockout defeating Changpeuk Kiatsongrit, Masaaki Satake and Ernesto Hoost. Prior to his K-1 success Branko fought all the big names of his era including Don Wilson, Dennis Alexio and Stan Longinidis.
