Paris, France 24th June 2023 MTGP France in association with Live Nation presented MTGP IMPACT Paris featuring ISKA World Championship at Zenith Arena. In the first headline match Japanese super-star TAKERU a three division K-1 Champion will make his European debut against ISKA World Champion Bailey Sugden to contest the ISKA World Lightweight title. Sugden was busy in the opening round peppering Takeru with punches not allowing him to settle, Takeru found his range in the third round and dropped Sugden twice with brutal body shots. Sugden was still prepared to stand in the pocket and trade shots but received a standing count in the fourth round. Takeru was relentless and piled on the pressure in the fifth round and ended the fight with a left leg head kick knocking Sugden out taking both the ISKA and KGP World Lightweight Championship belts. It was confirm later that Sugden had suffered a broken collar bone.
England’s stepped up at late notice to face former K-1 World Lightweight World Champion TAIGA (Taiga Kawabe) at 66kg 3×3 K-1 Rules. Taiga won by unanimous decision. RISE World Series Champion Taiju Shiratori French Champion Alexis Soutron at 65kg 3×3 K-1 Rules. Soutron dropped Shiratori in the first round and knocked him out in the second round with a left hook. The main card was streamed live in Japan by Abema TV and the rest of the world by Fite TV.
