ISKA Brazil Hosts Leaders From Across South America

April 21, 2019 Santos, São Paulo, Brazil – A meeting of masters took place in the Municipal Hall of the City of Santos. Leaders came from all over Brazil and Latin America to attend the ISKA International Directors Conference, where issues relevant to ISKA in their countries were discussed.

Expectations were high for the inaugural event. Well over 100 renowned martial artists and national directors from all over Central and South America as well as leaders from other major Brazilian organizations gave lectures and held discussions on the topics important to ISKA in this region.

Among the attendees were 96 ISKA leaders who were honored in a private ceremony, that was later publicized via social media. Notable attendees included Bolivian Director Jin Joo Kang and Ivanir Ferreira, the first female in the State of São Paulo to step into the ring and fight professionally. Also in attendance were Grandmaster Antonio Dias and his daughter Yasmin Dias, who recently became a part of ISKA Brazil. Yasmin Dias was awarded best Brazilian Kata performer by Masters Magazine.

Plans for a meeting of Brazilian and Latin American leaders with ISKA World President Cory Schafer and ISKA Europe President Paul Hennessy are in the works.
