ISKA APPROVED TO REGULATE PROFESSIONAL KICKBOXING IN NEW YORK

We are proud to announce that ISKA has been approved by the state government of New York to sanction and regulate Professional Kickboxing, Amateur Kickboxing, Amateur MMA and Sport Karate.  After examining ISKA’s credentials based on the application materials required, representatives of the NY state athletic commission indicated that ISKA was approved on the shortest possible timeline.

ISKA is very pleased to already have commitments from many of New York’s top promotions including Top Kick Superfights, Killer Instinct Kickboxing, Jackhammer Promotions, Lace Up Promotions, Glory Sports USA and New York Fight Exchange

ISKA is delighted to have enlisted Mr. Tom Sconzo as our New York state director.  Mr. Sconzo, a lifelong martial artist has experience in every aspect of the art and sport.  His history includes a lengthy background as a competitor/fighter, trainer, promoter and official.  In Tom’s own worlds, “Joining the ISKA allows me to follow my passion for growing our sport, encouraging athletes, assisting promoters and facilitating safe and fair competition at every level.  At the very core of being a martial artist is an appreciation for respect, mental focus and self-discipline. I intend to apply these principles towards the regulation of ISKA events.  I look forward to this opportunity.”

Mr. Sconzo was present for the first ISKA title contest under our new approval.  Former ISKA champion, and current world-class referee, Chris “The Cannon” Wagner raised the hand of the New ISKA Intercontinental champion Bobby “The Jack Hammer” Campbell who was quoted after his August 14th retirement bout, “The smoke has cleared and I can honestly say I wouldn’t of wanted it any other way! We fought 2x world champion Chris Deakin who came to fight and proved he belonged in there and who had me hurt in round 4. But I kept my composure and was able to weather the storm. I finished my last fight with a 7th round spinning back kick KO!”

Congratulations to Bobby and his team!
