History Repeats Itself at GLORY: Collision 2

A record smashing gate of 31,000 fans filled Gelredome soccer stadium to capacity last night for the Glory heavyweight Championship fight between Rico Verhoeven and Badr Hari. The fans were rewarded with action packed drama for two half rounds before history repeated itself as Badr was force to retire with an injury. Rico started aggressively in the first round but a heavy right hand counter punch for Badr dropped Rico for an eight count. Rico pushed forward in the second round and had some success but Badr was still connecting with heavy punches. At the start of the third Badr landed a high kick dropping Rico again shortly after the fight resumed Badr attacked with a spinning back kick and fell to the canvas injuring his left leg, the referee started a count then realised Badr was hurt and wave the fight over, Rico retained his title by TKO. Badr was stretchered from the ring by the medical team, a third trilogy fight is very likely. Glory Kickboxing is sanctioned and regulated by the ISKA.
