Alan Pond; Rest in Peace Mate.

Noticia-Iska-Alan-Pond

We have lost an ISKA brother, a true warrior and legend of combat sports – Alan Pond. A tragic loss for his family, friends and for the combat sports community – deepest condolences to all.

Alan was a true champion! – a unique character, friend, fighter, trainer, contributor to combat sports and part of the ISKA family.

His many achievements and immense contribution to the sport & the ISKA speak volumes to the exceptional person he was.

As many posts about this terrible news have said – Alan was nothing short of an icon in Australian combat sports and a true mate, who will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Alan was appointed as ISKA Western Australian regional representative by Rob Murdoch in 2010. He worked tirelessly to have the ISKA accepted by the commission for all combat rules. Alan was the first ISKA representative to be appointed in Western Australia and had to have the combat sport community accept a new regulatory body. He was relentless in lifting the profile of not only the ISKA but the entire sport.

There will be a void in the combat sport world and the ISKA but Alan’s input to the sport will be there forever
